So wait, it's a bannable offense to harass someone on the internet? What the hell? If something bothers you, don't read it; simple as that. There's no need for the administrators to be nannies and make sure forum members "play nice" together.

It's against forum policy, and thus warrants some form of punishment.

Why are we still discussing this?

First of all, if you don't want to be offended ever, you should commit suicide. You cannot undo an action in real life because that action gave you bad results. Thinking that somebody can is just unrealistic.

And in case you wonder, you can legally be convicted of crime and fined and possibly inprisoned for something you said over the internet, be it insult, threat, harassment or whatever. In those severe cases people are lucky to get away with just a permanent ban. We have the responsibility to not make this place a crimescene. That includes correcting people to steer them clear of crossing that legal line.

It's a shame that in modern times parent's increasingly fail in teaching that discipline, giving us more work. Respect is key, and you and everybody else should know that.

Too many young padawans that need to learn a thing or two :(

The decision is final, hence there's no point arguing about it. Thread locked
