;D My vote is for Linux, because it's free, secure, stable and just simple the best operating system I have ever encounted.

I also here BSD is good.

For thoughs of you outraged that I simply put Windows, instead of Windows 3.1 (LOL), Windows 95, 98 etc. Well I didn't put Redhat Linux, SuSE etc.

Also linux IMHO is the best os for os development.

I don't hell care what OS system wins as long as it works flawlessly, doesn't needlessly create software conflicts with complicated installation programming and has reliable security software.

Windows because I didn't see any commercial Linux games at the stores.

If you buy Linux in stores it costs $250 (canadian fund).

Well ?60 pounds for SuSE Linux 8.1 Pro is good compared to the ?230 for Windows XP Pro. Even if you don't use sqids (?), You can see the almose 400% increase in cost.

In Canada, Windows XP is cheaper than Linux.

WOW! No realy. I cant belive it.

But then agin you are entitled to download it for free. So what version of Linux cost that much?

It's just tipicaly anyway. Us brits always get screwed over.

But I still cant belive Linux could ever cost more than Window. But even so with Linux your free to copy your distribution and give it to as many people you like. No licence fees. Also linux distributions always come with an open souce verion of various office applications. Microsfts Office Pro costs ?370. With the only real advantage been speach rec which isn't perfect just yet anyway.

To be honest with you jamescox3k, I am not interesting to installing Linux on my computer because my first reason (read my first post).

Most engines I'm using are not supported for Linux.
I stay with Win98.

Here in Estonia, Estonian spellers are quite important too, and only Office XP has good qualify Estonian spelling (ironical compared to that many free office applications are already translated to Estonian like Office XP, but have no proper spellers or have them not at all)...
