My post was not spam, this is a general discussion forum, off topic or anything else...

This dosen't say except advertising, so get your facts straight, if you don't want advertising, then make that clear, and don't have a forum that is for any topic.

I am sorry that I have upset you, but this forum is open to ANY TOPIC!

So you should make it clear that no advertising is allowed.

There is absolutely no indication that advertising is excluded, and plus the definition of spam is simple 'any kind of unsolicited communication', well I was solicited when I was told I could post ANYTHING on this forum.

Once again, if you want restrictions then make this a members only board and then have a terms or usage that must be read before being able to post.

I am not a spammer, if I was then you would have found this post in every forum at this site, but guess what?? you didn't, and why?? because this is a general discussion forum, it explicitly says that this forum is for ANYTHING you want to discuss.

It may not be written officially, but the General, Off-Topic and Everything-Else has its restrictions to what's allowed to be post in it @$$ swell. You can get into serious trouble for posting porn here, for example (luckily, noone has ever tried that). Even posts about numbers of posts or how long you've been here can get you into trouble, since it's not what this is for. The description reads:

Got a post about the weather? Some TV Show? A general Rant of whatever-takes-your-fancy? Post all other off-topic stuff here

It should be quite clear that that describes things like hobbies, problems, interests, etc. There have been others trying to get members buy something, but most of us don't even have the money for it, since we're mostly 18 years or younger. The other, non-paying advertisments here are just ignored or locked.
No hard feelings though.

Look, spam is unwanted by almost all members which is why I locked and removed the url. I am not going to argue over this.

And guys keep this discussion clean, no more "you are a fool" and other name calling or I will lock this topic as well.

This is not referred to as spamming, posting on multiple forums is called cross posting, not spaming. You spamed by posting advertisements in the board.

First off, I am sorry for posting that ad here, I understand that people don't like it, and that is fair enough, and I am sorry for calling you guys fools or anything, but I will not back down that I have spammed this site, I have accepted that you don't allow ads, but this was not clear to me when I came here.

Again, I am sorry for any offending that I have done.

PS: You should look at one of the recent posts that is completely dedicated to spam. People are talking about who spams this board the most, so I don't know why I got so grilled, I don't even believe I even spammed.

Well they are talking about a different type of spam in those topics.

Your type of spam was advertisment.

Theirs was that they post alot. Which they do, they are VERY active members that post a ton.

2 Completely different things, but for some reason(and I don't know why) they go by the same name of "spam".

Yeah there isn't any agreement or anything or license on the board, so the rules are kind of vague. :-\
