At present, i have a 1971 Gibson SG. (i think its a 71) my father passed it to me, because i was interested in learning guitar, and he didnt want me to buy it. now as im getting better, he thinks we should store the gibson, it could be worth a lot of money. so i was looking online to day at some guitars, and this one looks pretty cool.

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/sid ... id/519536/

it is an Ibanez GSA60. It looks pretty nice, and I have heard a lot of good reviews about it on some sites. has anyone played this or seen it, or heard anything good about it? do you suggest this guitar? i think i should get it, i was just curious about how other people thought about it and if they thought it was good.

I've heard about it...I think I heard that on some levels Ibanez guitars rival gibsons...but I can't say anything about that particular model.

say, not all of the link is in hypertext...so I can't see it...

:o Ooh it looks pretty nice, but I think it's impossible to judge a guitar before you play it. Ibanez guitars are most frequently used to play what people call "Nu-metal". Nu-metal is low, slow, and heavy stuff such as Disturbed, Korn, and Limp Bizkit. If you're into playing that kind of thing than you have a pretty good idea that the guitar will please you. Also, Ibanez guitars are used by both Steve Vai and Joe Satriani to play extremely technical guitar work.

Gibsons, on the other hand, are more of a solid rock kind of thing, used by all sorts of bands from Black Sabbath and AC/DC to blues guitarists B.B. King and even Metallica's Kirk Hammet.

What makes these brands individual depends on woodtype, strings, necklength and width, and also the guitar's pickups.

That's all I can tell you about Ibanez vs. Gibson, it really depends on if you're comfortable playing it or not.

Hi people!!! It is cool to see people talking about guitars like talking about girls!!! :D Anyway... Gibson Rules!!! Ibanez sux!!! (I am sorry but this is the truth...) For about last 8 years of my life I have been dreaming for having a Gibson and last year I was very near: My big brother said he would buy me a black Gibson les paul sg as a gift, but he could not... Anyway as a result I could not have the Gibson and its fire burns me whenever I take my Ekg stage sbc300 -They played these guitars in german tv porn game tutti frutti, if you carefully watch it, you can notice ;D-. As a result don't get ibanez unless your gibson is about to die. Also I think that appearance of guitar is VERY VERY VERY important because you know, it fires you when you see a gibson flying v, aint it? Anyway... See ya... Again gibson rulz!!!!
