did you put the url for your avatar as the EXACT same way it appears on your website? Maybe the place you put the pics dosent let you host pics for remote use?

No he didn't.
It's just when you copy-pasted the url and seen the pic, it's still in your temporary internet files-folder and it'll show up.

no i tried this twice. plus i made that site (just so i could get that avatar. ::)) anyway, it doesnt work. i went into properties and copied that url and put it in the web site thingy here. instead, now im trying to use one of the avatars already here. i am trying to use the jackass one, but it isnt showing up. it is a X. i think one of the mods blocked use of an avatar for me.....

btw, i tried using that ski free avatar twice. the first time it worked for a while, then didnt. then i went into the profile and put the EXCACT same link in and it worked. only for a few minutes, then showed the X. i bet it was df or a mod. they probably thought i was wasting someone elses bandwidth, but i made that site so i could use the avatar.

It isn't a mod or df, I am looking at the url of your avatar that you put, and it is incorrect.

http://invis.free.anonymizer.com/http://www.geocities.com/iamcool112233/skier.gif is the correct url.

but you have http://www.geocities.com/iamcool112233/skier.gif

see the difference? ::)

Oh and geocities doesn't allow hotlink, in other words they make the images appear as x's on purpose so that their users don't waste bandwidth. Apparently the anonymizer.com url can get past the hotlink protection though, which is why the image is showing up when you use it.

What the monkey?

just follow that url, cut it from your address bar, (or right click and copy it from where it is), and go into your profile and paste it into your avatar space.

I can still see the skier image even when I refresh...can everyone else?

eh...

Hmmm... Chris, do you know of any free sites that would allow me to host php scripts so that I can have a random avatar (Dancing Larry is getting a bit old, IMO)
