I haven't been able to figure out how to upload our own gif's and jpg's as an avatar. I resized the picture to the satisfaction of the server, but the pic won't display in my posts. The link is referring to geocities (yeah, I know..) where I will store eventually have my site. The link is correct without a doubt. Any ideas on how to get it working?

Geocities doens't allow hot linking so your picture will never appear any where other than on your geocities site.

I tried running a hotlink of that pic off my school's server, which turned out to be a joke.. I used to have a whole folder of stuff in my personal folder, various pics and sample pages, that I was piecing together, and now it's all gone! >:( Grrr!

Happen to know of any other free service that will allow hotlinks?

Nope sorry I don't know of any. I pay for my site, and I turned my hotlinks off(yes I can turn hotlink protection on and off to protect my site).

I had the same problem Adam, what i did was went here, and uploaded my avatar to this page, and use that for my picture directory!
