Is BrokenThorn Entertainment dead?

In 'Latest News', the last update was in April 2013 and the last forum post was in June...
Are they still around? I was just wandering if anyone here knew why the site is so inactive.

Also: first post, yay!

The site is inactive as there is no need for it. OSDev is a well-known community with lots of useful information on the wiki, an active forum and (relatively) nice members. If there's no need for it, nobody will care about it.

Example needed? Here you go: We had a big thread on CompilerDev about 2 months ago, which resulted in a new site, which has exactly 6 members by now.

I can't argue there but it is a useful resource. :)

Hello,

I apologize for the lack of updates on the site; I have not had much time to be able to work on it the past few months. It is long overdue for a few more articles that are in progress - slowly being worked on when time allows it - which, unfortunately, has not been very much.

If interested, current articles being worked on include process management 2 and graphics 3. We have also been working a lot on the restructure of Neptune and other internal development efforts. When Neptune makes it to 0.1 Beta we plan to release it once again under Open/Shared Source as a supplement to the series. Finally, we have been working on the second version of the site, rewritten in PHP and AJAX to simplify the publication process and improve experience.

Although the site has slowed down, quite a lot is still happening behind the scenes and we hope to have some more releases coming up soon.

Regarding the forum software, it was to provide another way to contact the editor and others regarding the series rather then general OS development questions. We disabled the forum due to bugs in the forum software and the painful process of updating the software and site reintegration -- which will be resolved when the new site rolls out.

Sounds great, neon! Very glad to hear that things are still ticking over on that site and it's still going.

*Very many* thanks for the effort you've put in to the tutorial so far - it's great!

Looking forward to the "process management 2" section in particular. Keep up the great work!

Bye for now -
