I've seen on the news how the prime minister of some country (can't remember which one) was talking about how the world is gonna end this month. Seriously, how can the head of a country be so stupid?

For confused non-Australians:
- Triple J is our government-funded youth radio station.
- The CSIRO is our government research laboratory.
- Q & A is a TV show where an audience grills politicians on various issues of the day. Most politicians loath the show (for obvious reasons).
- We introduced a tax on carbon in July 2012. The opposition party loudly said the bottom would fall out of the economy come July 1st, but everything pretty much went on as normal.
