How do you distribute your software?
I use google code + svn + GNU GPL v3.
Was wondering how others do it.

What does license have to do with distribution?

I have my own hosted domain, using Trac as frontend for my SVN repository. The front page provides links for SVN checkout or ZIP archive download (the latter provided automatically by Trac).

I host an iso image on my personal website, which is updated via scp after every successful build (see links in my signature)

For version control i host my own subversion server on a server in a bathroom cupbord at my house. Many hours of spooling cat5 cable between floorboards allowed me to put that server there, away from the bedroom

Server enclosed in a bathroom cupbord with no ventilation that's likely to overhead, or a server that is well ventilated that is likely to blow up due to humidity related problems?

I went for the pro solution. While renovating the house, we got two CAT.7 cabling and CAT.6 ports for each room. The computer room got four.

Nah its fine, ive been running it there for ages. Its in a cuupboard with a slatted door, in a downstairs toilet which only has a toilet and a sink not a shower or bath in it, humidity or overheating isnt a problem.

It shares a cupboard with an upright freezer.

I used to have it in the kids room out of reach, as this is close to the wall socket for the cable modem, but it was too loud and didnt stay there too long for obvious reasons

When i lived with my parents i used to stash my server in my bedroom under a desk, where people always say they have problems with overheating, never had any issues with that server, either.

Solar, im jealous of your fully cat6'd home
