Which is better?

Today i got a AMD Athlon 64 3000+ @3ghz for a small trade for my HD 3850 (its agp so i didnt want it)
Ive seen it be able to over clock at good speeds. It also came with a PCIe Radeon x1600 pro.
Im trying to compare it with my 3200+ (Orleans) and was told, the 3200 (ofcourse) is better (age wise as well) but what do you think? I understand Ghz is not everything, but what do you think?
3200 @ 2.0ghz or 3000 @ 3.0ghz. Even saw its config run crysis pretty well (no not at 300fps) but 20 - 25 (surprisingly with the x1600 in it at the time).
As much as it sounds a game question, its more a which cpu do you think would perform better? Windows rates the 3200 at 3.9, but im expecting a 4.1 for the 3000. I could be wrong however.
