Hey all, long time no post! This time I'm trying to attract spam to my forum at http://www.spambb.tk

It's a site designed to allow people to view some statistics on spam, such as country of origin and the percentages of posts/users from those countries. Unfortunately, I can't measure these statistics if I have no spam bots. I'm looking for suggestions to attract them to my community. The statistics system isn't 100% right now, but with only a single volunteer to test it right now I can't be sure what's wrong.

Also, it's a small general discussion forum if you get bored and don't want to talk about OS Dev (or if you do, but somewhere else. It's general discussion). I'll be adding more sections as their discussions come up. Once I actually get spam I plan on tucking it away in a small corner of the forum where normal people will ignore it so it won't clutter up the "normal" conversation.

Once again the forum is SPAMBB (or the Super Perfect Awesome Message Bulletin Board), and my question is: How do I get spambots to go here, as for some inexplicable reason I haven't gotten a single one in the 2 days it's been available?

Submit it to google search for starters. Still takes a few weeks though.

Funny that someone is actually trying to attract spammers. Submitting to search engines is indeed the way to do it. Other sites linking to your website may be helpful too, so your post is a start.

A good tactic for attracting automated bots is guestbooks. At least; thats what people use when they try to get themselves spammed with 419s

I've got a forum with next to no registration restrictions. You don't even have to wait for an activation email. I doubt I need a guest book of some kind as well...

My site, if you search it's name, is already #2 in Google last I checked (with #1 being one of my showcase threads at another forum).

I've also modified my sig at a few of the forums I visit to include a link to the site.

What I meant was to link to your site from various guestbooks.

However, I don't know how well spam bots will get through the registration challenges of custom forums

Back in high school, I gave each of my friends an email address on a domain, and gave them a week to collect as much spam as possible (amazing what you do when you're bored in science class). On the last day they received thousands of spam messages. All he did was register on porn sites. That probably won't help for a forum though.

I guess maybe I shouldn't have advertised it as a "Spam Tracking System," as so far I have not had a single spambot registration. I've probably somehow managed to get my site blacklisted from spam...

The problem is, if I don't advertise as such, moderators will delete my spam instead of leaving it up for spambots to see.
