What inspires you to develop your os? What keeps you going, or gets you going again after youve lost interest or the want to do it anymore?

My inspiration, just watching this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ko4V3G4N ... re=related

I would say that my answer to all those is curiosity.
I started out just designing an OS for the lulz, when I finally found the resources to be able the actually write it curiosity took over, now I just write it for fun. But throughout all of that, there is the desire to learn something new.

As a side note, my first designs where when I was 10 (9 years ago!, f**k) and were almost infeasible/useless but some parts of that design are actually coming back into the final product.
