Looks good! I'm almost embarrased to say that at the age of 27, I've still never been to a live concert (other than Classical :) ). I guess it's only a few years now until I never will - I'll be starting to complain about kids these days playing their music far to loud ;)

Cheers,
Adam

There was a concert near me a couple weeks ago, but I couldn't go (no money, no time)

Adam, I'm 28 and I've already started to complain about kids playing their so-called "music" far too loud. :)

The last concert I was at... that was a little over 2 years ago. Outside in the middle of June. 40,000 people, 12 hours, 13 bands. I got severely sunburned but I still think it was worth it. The entire concert was great. It's "Rockfest" here in Kansas City. I believe it's now the biggest one day concert event in the US. I don't remember much who played that year, but it's always great. I wish I would have gone last year, Stone Temple Pilots was headlining.

The first concert I was at, I was 16. Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. That was a great show too. Man, I've been to too many concerts to count... only remember one that ended up being rather lame, but I won't mention the band. :)

Actually when I was around 27 I hadn't gone to a single concert. It's all my girlfriends fault that I go to them now. When she was a teenager she used to work at a ticket reselling company and would always get the left over tickets that were too expensive so she got in the habit of going to lots of concerts (and having good seats). Now she "drags" me to concerts :) My first concert was Prince (something my GF wanted to go see). I always thought he was just okay until I saw him in concert, he puts on a really good show. Plus he was giving away his CD and actually making money by performing which I respected.

AC/DC was one of the better concerts we've been to. They played a mixture of old and new songs, the new stuff is good and you don't just sit there waiting for them to play one of their classics like with some bands. Prince, STP, Nickelback, AC/DC, Aerosmith, and Tori Amos have all have been good. Smashing Pumpkins and Madonna were not so great. We also go to comedy shows, cirque du soleil, etc when we can. We've got some tickets to see the Trans Siberian orchestra in a few weeks. We also recently had front row tickets to Cheech and Chong (funny even if you aren't a pot head):

Australian Rock and Roll band named after the two types of electrical current. Very popular around the world.

Very VERY popular, my favourite band ever. New album's pretty good, Mal's rhythm is, IMHO, better now than in the Bon Scott era (sorry, Bon) but Angus still shreds as great as he did thirty years ago! :P =D> =D> =D>

So far, I've been to (important ones): Deep Purple, The Scorpions, Apocalyptica (although I was expecting a bit more), Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper. Other than that I've seen are P!nk (yuck!), Morcheeba (which might be good, I haven't listened to them a lot), Marilyn Manson, Wu-Tang Clan, etc (can't remember right now). I've missed Jethro Tull (argh! :( ), Metallica and Smokie (which I don't really care much about but still think they're ok) - couldn't get my timing right for these.

EDIT: Would have killed to see Freddie Mercury perform live... oh well...
