guests can still press the 'post message' button -- which means they are on the 'posting' page... they are just required to log in before submitting
as for the moved message, its not really gone... its just been moved to a restricted forum so you cant see it...
as for the software version, there could be many reasons for that, only chase really knows, and he is often quite slow to check and post here (always has been...)
