VT100

Post by Tyler »

Does the VT100 Standard define header information or simply the characterset/excape sequences. For example, if i was going to hook a real VT100 Terminal to my serial port would i need any extra data to convince it i really was a mainframe computer?

A late answer:

not that I ever heard of.

VT100 solely defines escape sequences for cursor management.

Of course there was a special escape sequence to initialize the so called keypad mode. In this mode the four function keys and the numerical keypad was used for editing.
