Did I hear that right?!

That sounds like a Sound Blaster 16! Holy crap that's an old card...I remember Duke Nukem (the original sidescroller) had support for that one, can't imagine XP wouldn't...of course they're nowhere near linux in backwards compatibility ;D

Alternatively, I'm just hallucinating...so, zero...how old is this computer? <-- I mean since it was built, not how long you've had it...

I guess Zero has a 486 computer.

Myself I still have a 486 sx25 with sb16. I can't able to play Duke Nukem 3d because the game is too slow (later levels) on my 486.

Doesn't WinZip have pkg support? Hmmm... a quick search shows that pkg is used for Solaris (A UNIX variant) distributions. Well, that won't work. A better choice would be to go to www.soundblaster.com, go to support, select your card from their table, and you'll be taken to a page with .exe downloads.

?!

Actually, just try downloading that new driver... it's an .exe file, so it shoudl just run. Zip is a compression/archive format and has nothing to do with audio devices.
