I copy someone else's site, say,
www.agidev.com, and then modify it with notepad and original JPEGs.

I use Mozilla Composer. For any page that uses php (behind the scenes at the moment) I knock up a quick template in the same program and then fill it up with php quick drying cement later on.
I don't think using Dreamweaver or Composer is cheating... just like I don't look down on anybody who doesn't do all their programming in assembler or uses Windows instead of a command line interface.
(notice how I could talk about cigarettes or religion in the same way?)
Do whatever is easiest. I don't want to learn much html.. I just want to post the facts and then do something else.

The combination of Putty and the 'joe'-command can do wonders. It takes some time to get used to it, but after you master it, you don't want anything else (unless you're lazy
)

whats so bad about tripod? its really cool. real easy to use too. i dont feel like making a site in HTML. it would take too long.
