Just managed to watch it. Well done.

Looks like you were the only hobbyist OS project presenting. Was there much interest outside of the talks about hobby stuff?

Thank you, man!

I'm not sure I understood perfectly your question but I'll try to answer anyway. Well, hobby projects weren't exactly the main topic of the conference as you pointed out, but a lot of people reached me after the talk with questions etc. The whole project got more interest than expected, in particular from people who wanted to use it somehow. But, because the project did not have yet the bare-minimum features for any real-world use (e.g. no storage, no network, no ARM), the conversations ended up being more curiosity-driven.

Overall, my perception was that even if almost all of those people work full-time on Linux, they're always curious about new things in particular if those things could be used in practice today or at least at some point in the future. Therefore, probably "pure hobby" projects wouldn't draw much attention on such a conference, but small projects aiming to being used in production one day in the future would be considered interesting. That's my subjective view, of course.
