A single Forth console. Well, not quite. GUI stuff gets done on Win10 where I maximize or fullscreen most windows, including PowerShell which I use to launch a lot of stuff, whether from the Desktop directory or sometimes by full path. Alt-Tab & Win-Tab are good tools, but window placement is... well, Windows has always been a window mismanagement system.

Stable, fully-featured, customizable and it consumes very little memory, a little less than XFce!! As far I as know after doing some research, a few years ago KDE was a monster, but then the team decided to invest seriously in optimizing its memory footprint in order to make KDE more competitive and now it's pretty lightweight compared to GNOME. So, I'm now seriously considering to gradually switch back to it.
Good to know. I recall one or more of the KDE 3.x versions being very lightweight too. Or was it 2.x? It was a long time ago, whichever it was. Anyway, I hope they can keep it that way this time. Perhaps odd-numbered KDE versions will be good; the converse of the Star Trek films. ;)
