AGI missing- begiinner help please
Hi I'm trying to play my old copy of leisure suit larry on my windows xp computer and everytime i try to start it up it says agi file is missing. How do I fix this?
Re:AGI missing- begiinner help please
Is there a file named "AGI" in your game directory?
Re:AGI missing- begiinner help please
if it is in a winzip file, it will not work. you need to extract it first. then make sure the agi file is in the directory.
Re:AGI missing- begiinner help please
If she owns a copy of LSL, then it probably isn't zipped...
Re:AGI missing- begiinner help please
well maybe she downloaded it and it was in a zip file. ::)
Re:AGI missing- begiinner help please
Maybe, but I wouldn't use the words "old copy" in this case...
Re:AGI missing- begiinner help please
Maybe she copied it from old disks then zipped it in a WinZip.
What do you say to that, Eero

Re:AGI missing- begiinner help please
download NAGI or Sarien. Use one of those to run the file. The old AGI executable is inferior, anyway, especially on modern machines.
Re:AGI missing- begiinner help please
Yeah! Only thing it lacks is sound, when you have no PC speaker that is...
Re:AGI missing- begiinner help please
It's worse with PC-speaker. It always gives me a pain in the head (but not painful enough to call it a headache)
The original interpreter really is just fine if it runs on your pc. If it doesn't, or doesn't run well, Nagi'll do the trick just as well (and you must agree that it has some advantages to the original interpreter) I'd just run Nagi when the original interpreter doesn't work though (or the game's packaged with Nagi ;D )
