Eero's hints were for Level 3. And no, you don't need any tools (other than Notepad to view the source)

I'm stuck on Level 4. Found a Java decompiler but haven't found anything incriminating in the applet source...

No! The answer is much simpler than that. Remember, sources point to a file....

I can see the applet without any problems (Mozilla 1.4), but getting past it is another issue...
