The following mail can't be sent to [email protected]:
From: [email protected]
To: [email protected]
Subject: can also be found on my website in the AGI
The file is the original mail
Im guessing since it was sent to me with the attached file and a virus...that they are targeting AGI people...
Chris, i dont know how that attachment got into there...
it said it was from angelfire's webmaster and i soon learned it sure as hell wasnt...if you recieve any emails like this DO NOT OPEN THE ATTACHMENT...IT IS A BATCH VIRUS...
prehaps if we can find out who the dumbshit who actually sent me this is...we can crack down on this miscreant...
Patrick
NOTE: ive never sent anyone an email called what this is saying...it IS a hoax
I don't understand the crisis. Is someone planting virii in AGI games and distributing them or just targetting AGI gamers? If the former, we can provide something like a checksum for our games that tells the dl'er what the file size should be.
Hehe, I just got an e-mail saying that I have sent a virus to someone in template.zip, and that the e-mail was rejected by server... I certainly didn't send anything...
hmmm...i havent gotten an email yet, but if i do ill let everyone know. do you think its someone from the board? and maybe you should reply by sending them a virus or something.
According to the e-mail he provided, he send it himself, since it cleary is an returned e-mail (undeliverable, so to speak)...
This virus, Klez, IIRC, sends itself without the users knowledge and tries to appear as genuine, by adding random text (hence the template.txt and "can also be found on my website in the AGI")...
Having said that, I do not mean he personally send the e-mail; rather that the virus used his account to spread itself...
