War with Iraq.

Post by Joey »

So....I guess we are going to war with Iraq. We already started bombing them too......

I honestly really think we are going to win this war. I have no doubts at all. I think this will be a quick and easy war.

Oh, I have a question too. I live in New Hampshire, on the East coast of the US. Is there any chance of us getting bombed or having small pox or anthrax over here?

I started this thread just for people to talk about the war and for all the US soldiers fighting there right now. God bless us that we arent in the war, and god bless the US troops.

Oh yah, and **** YOU SADDAM!!!! >:(

Hi Joey,

I don't think so. That's what was being told on the news before the war, until Bush said the war might be longer than people expect. It isn't as easy as just sending a couple of air raids. If the USA really intend to keep a war going until Saddam is found, it might last... Remember: They still haven't found bin Laden.

I think the USA are very safe, because Iraq does not have missiles that reach that far. Iraq would probably go for Israel first, while the only danger would probably come from terrorist attacks (although it can't really be judged how likely they are). If there will be attacks, they will be more likely in NY or Washington.

Let's hope that none of the two sides starts using weapons of mass destruction and that the war will be over with as little casualties as possible.

I'll only be happy about this war when I see Saddam lying dead, quote Monty Python, with a few changes ;)
He'd better be very scared to be mashed into a pulp, and to have his eyes gouged out and his elbows broken, to have his kneecaps split and his body burned away, and his limbs all hacked and mangled, Stupid Saddam. With his head smashed in and his heart cut out and his liver removed and his bowels unplugged and his nostrils raped and his bottom burnt off and his pe...

Joey, I don't think anyone will win this war. It's debatable the world over whether this war should have been started in the first place. Taking all facts into consideration I understand the volatility of the situation, and that certain peoples' hands have been forced, but I think there may be many civilian casualties. It would be nice to think that the main reasons the US were in this was for the innocent people of Iraq - and obviously to rid the world of Nuclear Warfare, but what IF (and I say IF so don't criticise me too much on that!) what IF there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq?
It will be very interesting to see how this all turns out - I think it will definitely be a lengthy drawn out process.
I'll summarise my point of view to avoid misunderstanding and criticism:
- I'm not for or against this war
- I support our men in Iraq
- I think perhaps we could have found a more peaceful resolution

I just hope we don't screw things up, we really have forced Saddam Hussein's hand, if he has weapons of mass destruction we sure will find out about it.

Saddam and Saddam...He is evil bastard allright.. But USA should have given more time for UN to work this out. Although Saddam could be a threat, one must remember that there is actually people living in that country and it really doesn't look nice when bombs hit them and dismember them.

I bet if CNN would show what nice things happens to people when those fancy cruise missiles hit instead of showing smiling soldiers on tanks, warjunkies might think something else. It doesn't matter if those smart satellite-guided-bombs hit exactly where they should if explosion is wiping anything within few blocks radius.

I wonder would USA have attacked against Iraq at all if there wouldn't be any oilsources? After all, only reason for attack to Afghanistan was WTC-strike...without it Osama and his Taliban-friends would be still in charge.. Time will tell if any other countries will be 'liberated' in future.

I'm really worried about what will happen in future because of this.. Instead of bringing peace and freedom to Iraq, USA is setting whole Middle-east on flames. Without doubt this war will increase numbers of terrorists.. And furthermore USA is breaking unity of world by acting without UN's permission..

This whole preventive strike **** is madness.. Americans (and their allies) shouldn't wonder if they really will get small pox or anthrax...It could be just preventive strike from Middle East.

And btw. It ain't war, it's a slaughter.

I have a problem with our country.
Everyone in the news ask: Will we help them and how is the war going to change anything for us.

Well It isn't going to change anything. They say like we will go to the war or something. But we ain't, we are a small country. Why do they then talk like it's theyr war. It isn't

Let's not forget Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, and Sean Hannity...

I could almost swear that Bush gets his foreign policy from these three.
