my dad got win xp on his new pc. you have to register it or something. i went to install xp on my pc, but then i will have to register and then they will notice that 2 pcs have the same copy on it.
how can i get passed this? i will have to delete win xp in 29 days since i cant register it.

the whole point of registering is so you CANT do this.
if you want to run it on two pc's, buy two copies.
service pack 1 detects a lot of false XP keys, so if you find one on the net, service pack1 might detect it and make your XP unregistered again.

It is possible to fool XP into thinking your configs are the same. Just have the same GFX card, network card, motherboard, and a few other things.

but to fool it for the network card you need the same MAC address, and that mean you cant run both on the same network with the same MAC address

I agree that Windows ME sucks arse, but 98 is overshadowed by XP and 2K.

Yeah but AGI games don't run properly in AGI... you have to use NAGI or any of the other clone interpreters to play AGI games in XP. I like having my 98 pc next to me for when I want to play old dos games.

yah i was gonna go back to 98 since this wouldnt work anyway, but i thought that you could put copies of it on different pcs IN YOUR HOME. i thought it would just be illegal to give it to friends or something.
