Star Commander

So the guy that made Star Commander (he uploaded it to Chris's site a while back) is remaking the game in AGS, check out his website here:

http://www.babylonius.com/StarCommander/index.htm

It looks pretty sweet. If he makes it half as good with AGS as he did with AGI then it should be a really great game.

Indeed, that's looking very nice. But why don't they mention the AGI version anywhere? That was really good already...

I discovered this in the AGS announcement board, I posted a message asking him if he knew how much everyone over here loved his game...I haven't checked to see if he responded yet, but, perhaps he wasn't aware that so many people liked it. I think someone from here emailed him though....?

Yeah, Joey e-mailed him to tell him about the board and how much we liked his game... he never replied on the board, though. http://www.mega-tokyo.com/forum/index.php?board=4;action=display;threadid=1867;start=0.

By the way, wwat is the URL of the AGS announcement board?

As you've probably noticed, he finally replied to the Star Command thread in the AGI board. :D

The AGS forums are located at:

There is a board for completed games, and upcoming games, the Star Commander post is under upcoming games.

That's pretty cool looking. I played the AGI version but I couldn't get through the sewer. (what's up with that). But this game looks up to the level of the King's Quest 1 AGS version, which was pretty cool. My only complaint is the point and click thing, but it's been such a long since any game had a parser interface that I've gotten over it. (Long live AGI it's typing interface!).
It must take a lot to make a game of this caliber in your spare time. I still look forward to the AGS Space Quest 7. Any one have any info on that?

Thanks for the link, junc.

About the sewer: Have a look at the tree trunk on the shore near to where you entered the sewer, it should give you a little hint.

I also love the typing interface and don't like point'n'click interfaces too much, but I guess that's being "user friendly"...
