Re: Looking for C# partner
How far has your OS progressed?
Do you have a link to the source code?
Do you have a link to its documentation so that I can see what I would be getting into?
What areas do you need help with?
What experience do you have of managing a project?
Do you have any previous projects to recommend you?
Give me one good reason why I should devote my efforts to your OS in particular.

Re: Looking for C# partner
Language is not designed for this.
Re: Looking for C# partner
But can be used and has already been used for this kind of projects (e.g. COSMOS, Singularity, FlingOS).shmx wrote:Language is not designed for this.

Re: Looking for C# partner
As you say, perfectly feasible with a good design and a good project leader. Which is why I asked my questions.
Re: Looking for C# partner
The feedback from the OP, so far, doesn't convince me they can manage a successful project.
Re: Looking for C# partner
I would love for you to help me out. Is it possible perhaps you can spend an hour or two? I do need someone to teach me about C#.iansjack wrote:How far has your OS progressed?

Re: Looking for C# partner
Uh, so you don't know C#? You're trying to make an OS, one of the hardest things to program, with a language you aren't familiar with? This is just suicidal...4meBee wrote:I would love for you to help me out. Is it possible perhaps you can spend an hour or two? If some of you people keep insisting on having backwards compatibitity with the stone age, we'll have stone tools forever.

4meBee != xenaOS (the original poster who has yet to respond.)

Anyways, C# isn't very hard to learn. It's actually quite close to Java and C++.

Re: Looking for C# partner
Sorry, I'm not going to teach you C#. There are several good books on the subject that will make a far better job of doing that than I could.4meBee wrote:I would love for you to help me out. BTW, it's considered pretty rude to hijack someone else's thread.
