That looks like a power port to me. I've never seen a mouse port like that.

Mouse ports usually have lots of pins in them. Power points usually have one or two.

Can't say I know what that port is if it has 4 pins. I agreee it looks like a lap top power port. If you need a mouse for your laptop why don't you snatch the one on the PC your using...test it out...if it works you can buy a new mouse for 5 bucks, less if you look around.

If it wasn't black & white I would say you have a perfect Sierra gaming computer on your hands. I've been wanting to get a 486 to play games on, avoid all of those silly fast-processor bugs.

Is that the port that you took the attached mouse out of? Or is that the port in the back? I guess it could be a proprietary port. If so, then you might not be able to replace that mouse.

It could be a non-PS/2 mouse port.....

Is it me, or are all you people thinking the trackball of that thing (shown on the photo) is the mouseport?

(or the powerport, for that instance)

Well, everyone here (excluding you) seems to think it is a powerport... However they haven't seen the actual port, since the photo you provided, isn't of the port ifself (or is it?) but the, as you call it, 'mouse thingy' or trackball.

And since the picture is quite vague, I *think* they didn't see that...

I only meant that it would be better if it was a color laptop, otherwise, yes it is perfect.

As far as the mouse port/mouse thing...I am SO confused. When you take a pic, take a BIG pic.

Was there a question? SMG when did you forget how to spell? I never recall your posts being so.. :P.sloppy.... Isn't English your native language? What is a "scred", is it nice...does it like monkeys?

Seriously though, post a pic of whatever is relavant to your question.
