ok this is really pissing me off. me and my friend are trying to play quake, or quake 2 together. i have a cable so he is going to connect to me. i start up the game and set up the multiplayer thing and stuff. then i tell him to connect. i wont show up on his favorites list, or if he types in my ip, it says no response.
now my dad has this thing, zone alarm pro. the trial ended, but we didnt delete it yet. now hes trying another firewall thingy. i got out of it (exited the program) before we started playing. it still doesnt work. i dont get it. does anyone have a clue how to get him to connect to me?

well? anyone have an idea? i would like to fix this today so i can play it with my friend. i hate it when the internet doesnt do what i want it too! >:( same with the computer! >:(

yah i think. i dont get my dumb @$$ modem. does anyone know how to fix this? quake online used to work before when i hosted. i dont get it.

ive had it for months. i posted it on someones poll that said what kinda modem do you have or something like that.
