Depressing elections

(Unfortunately, I didn't vote because I forgot to get an absentee ballot way back whenever we were supposed to.)

Well, tonight's been pretty depressing. It's looking more and more like we Americans can kiss whatever checks and balances we had left goodbye.

At least, here in Oklahoma, the ban on cockfighting looks like it's going to pass. It was dangerously close there for a while. Small consolation, I guess... but eat THAT, Lousiana and New Mexico! Oklahoma's better than you are now! Ha ha ha.

In Nevada, Ballot 9, the legalization of Marijuana was passed 59:41.

What? Are you sure? Yahoo's election news says the marijuana question failed 61 to 39.
