Ski Free (dont you love that game?)

has anyone played that game ski free? it is so simple yet so cool. i wanted to know what language it was written in and if it would be hard to make a game like that. im just curious. if anyone knows of a url with it that has this game could you tell me? i used to know one and had it in my favorites, but now its down. i ahve a copy of the game upstairs. if anyone wants it ill put it here.

(this just entered my mind: it is compiled into a .exe file right? you cant view that source so its hard to find out am i correct? so this is just like street rod. well does anyone know WHAT language it COULD be written in? and would it be hard? i want to make a sequel sometime.)

I think SkiFree was written in Visual Basic.

It's quite an old game, but i got an old copy lieing around, i wonder why microsoft doesn't include all their 'older' games with new versions of windows, instead of the crappy minesweeper?

hey thats true! they should include it. but i dont know if microsoft made it. it is in a custom entertainment pack. i believe it was made by someone else. i dont know. anyway, andrew, what do you mean you keep the help window open? for ski free?

I remember playing SkiFree. Another good M$ app from their 'entertainment' packs would have to be Idlewild. It's just so purdy!

Is that the one if you went too far down you'd get chased by a yeti and jumps were simple bars? It had freestyle, slalom and another path right? My friend had that game on mac and we had managed to outrun the yeti for three full minutes once.

anyway, i guess this game is more popular than i thought. ;D it gets boring after a little, but then gets fun after you havent played it for a while.

there are 3 courses SGreenslade. Freestyle, Salom, and Tree Salom.

the tree salom has trees. (well whatda ya know!)

Yeah...my friend and I played it once on his mac...I wonder what happened to that computer. Anyways, one final confirmation that this is the game I'm thinking about...the yeti has stick arms and legs and is sorta greyish, right?
