Do you use dial up? If so I would have to agree that is pretty impressive. However, most of us non-phone users (cable, dsl, etc.) would be pretty angry if we hit anything under 20kbs. Personally I kill downloads that are under 10kbs. I am capable of hitting between 100 and 300 kbs.

Hmmm, I'm lucky if I hit anything around 10kb. It's usually 0.2kb for a couple of minutes, then 'more source needed' Still, I'm using dsl and Kazaa Lite (which still gives annoying pop-ups >:( )

Thats 60000 bauds per second!

Or 60Kbs!

Normally you would get 35 to 45 kbps per dialup depending on your modem and the telephone company you are connecting to. But, sometimes you can get more, like around 55 to 57kps per conection.

But Raf, aren't you using a USB hook-up for your DSL. Buy an ethernet card and join the 21st century!!!

Yep, have USB-DLS. We've got a netwerk card too (think it's ethernet), but can't get it to work :-\

Ethernet cards are much cheaper now than they were previously, so I figure if you're spending the money on DSL, you really should invest in better equipment to make it worth the cost. Otherwise, you could just as well be using a dial-up connection.

Also, it may be that you need a new driver for your card. Either Microsoft or your card's manufacturer will most likely have a site devoted to drivers.

Good luck!

[glow=GOLD,3,600]YOU CANCEL THE DOWNLOAD IF IT GOES UNDER 200kbs?[/glow]

And I go at a small compared to that 2.90 kbs!
And 3.30 kbs is good for me and you have the nerve to cancel a download that goes under 200kbs?
