Have you tried de Heideroosjes? I've suggested them a couple of times in this topic, but seeing that you haven't yet reacted on them, makes me think you haven't tried them out yet. If you want good punk, this's what you should look for (again, I'm repeating myself ::) )
  • Toy Dolls
  • Ramones (they're good live, but tame in the studio)
  • Clash (same thing)
  • Sex Pistols
  • De Heideroosjes
  • Madness (crossing of punk and ska)
Concearning good ska: try these (from the second on, they're copied from the best ska-cd I know of ;D )
  • The Dill Brothers (best Dutch ska, singing in English)
  • Blaster Master (FIN) "Pocket" <---- 8)
  • The Busters (D) "Let's talk about" <---- ;D
  • Skuba (BR) "O tempo vai passar"
  • Spitfire (RUS) "From bad to worse"
  • The Skalatones (S) "Y 2 (S)K(A)" <---- 8)
  • The Allniters (AUS) "Nowhere fast"
  • Bluekilla (D) Sunshine Reggae (Skinhead Reggae)"
  • Rude Rich & The Highnotes (NL) "One live" <---- Bob Marleyish
  • Top Cats (GB) "Dr. Cash" <---- Sounds more like Rocksteady (cfr. Desmond Dekker (Decker?))
  • Blascore (D) "Guatemala"
  • Ejectes (F) "Fight back" <---- 8)
  • Too Hot (GB)"Sunshine holiday"
  • Rollings (J) "Skanon" <---- 8)
  • The Porkers (AUS) "Prost!" <---- 8)
  • Skaos (D) "South Africa" <---- 8) 8)
  • The Ventilators (CH) "Comin' back to you"
  • Athena (TR) "Devam... bo <s with the attached thingy of ?>ver"
  • The Babyshakers (Feat. Mark Foggo) (NL) "Sugarlover"
  • Aktus (UA) "Harvest Psalm"
  • Dr. Cyos (PL) "Bella Donna" <---- 8)
  • Bad Manners (GB) "Millennium knees up" <---- 8) 8)

Five Iron Frenzy becomes boring really fast. All the things I've summed up earlier aren't ;D . FIF also sounds more like most MTV-bands than a ska-band should.
