HATE MICROSOFT?

All off topic discussions go here. Everything from the funny thing your cat did to your favorite tv shows. Non-programming computer questions are ok too.

I DONT KNOW WHAT THE HELL ALL THESE DUMB IDIOTS ARE TALKING ABOUT HERE!!! I LOVE MICROSOFT. DAMNIT, IF IT WEARNT FOR THEM, I WOULD HAVE A DUMB MAC AND MACS SUCK!!! (atleast i dont like them) WINDOWS SUPPORTS ALL THE NEW GAMES THAT COME OUT AND DOES A LOT OF EXTRA CRAP THAT YOU MAY OR MAY NOT USE. WINDOWS IS THE BEST OS OUT THERE. (except for windows xp. i hate windows xp.) I ONLY INSTALLED WINDOWS A FEW TIMES, AND I FORGET WHAT IT WAS FOR, BUT IT WASNT FROM THE OS. IT WAS FROM SOMETHING ELSE, BUT I CANT REMEMBER RIGHT NOW!!!

if you go out to the store, i think most programs will say they are meant for windows. windows doesnt suck. it is good, and i love it.

**** YOU ALL YOU HATERS OF MICROSOFT AND WINDOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:( >:( >:( >:(

;D :D (just kidding about all this crap i just said. but i do like windows.)

That was kinda uncalled for. :P Joey calm down(yes this is sarcasm). Windows for me is a hate-love relationship, kinda like the one you have with that tomboy next door. Disregarding her, I'm just saying windows would be more convenient if it would be simpler to maintain it. It's often very hard to pinpoint a problem on windows. When you have a problem on linux, it tells you immediately. That's what I'd like to see on windows. Add a fix-it wizard and microsoft would win me over any day. But in the meantime, I remain the faithful pacifistic anti-microsoft nut.

That site is hilarious, Tom. You know what they'd call a temp under Bill Gates himself? The devil's advocate.

as a serious programmer, I would just like to point out that I don't care much for Unix or its variants. Windows suits me just fine, and I'm hardly a naive computer user. I'm perfectly capable of learning and understanding the other OS's out there. I just don't like them. That's not to say Windows is perfect -- it's not -- but the goal of making an OS with "no flaws" is ridiculous.

Still, you can hate microsoft all you want. I don't care.

I just installed Red Hat 8.0 on my computer with a single 1.44 MB floppy disk.

while I don't particularly like Red Hat, especially this new version, it cost me nothing, and I was able to do a custom installation over a network. In this case, it was the mainframe of a University in Indiana. Try doing that with Windows.

The irony of all of this is the MS actually owns a UNIX-OS company. BTW, it sucks, too :D

I think that's the IE's built-in feature that denies all anti-Microsoft sites. :)
