Interesting number

Post by Mikemk »

I was playing a video game earlier and looked down and saw my money at 131,536, and my xp was 65,072.
Interesting numbers.

I once parked my car and saw that it had gone 131,072 km in total. I instantly laughed when I saw this number. 2^17...

All numbers are interesting (at least all positive integers are).

Suppose there were such things as "uninteresting" positive integers. Then there would be a smallest uninteresting one. Now that would be an interesting number.

Last time I went bowling, I ended up with 42 points at the end of the game. Suddenly losing was well worth it.

Well, it's more that it spells 1337. Funny and true story: When I wrote that post, I had no idea I actually posted it exactly at 13:37 in my timezone (+1 UTC with daylight saving)... what do you call that again? A serendipitous moment?

I once saw 0x5F3759DF in a register after some mode-switching routine in my kernel init sequence. Had to double check to make sure I didn't #include "q_shared.h"...
