Solar has left the building

Post by qw »

On July 10, Solar wrote:I think it's time for me to retire participating in this hobby altogether. My active knowledge is rapidly approaching the stage of "outdated, dangerously so".
It seems Solar was serious about this because he hasn't posted anything since then. His blog disappeared from the web as well.

If that's actually true, it would be a big loss for the osdev community... I hope he'll think about it and come back.

I mean, seriously, can their be a life without osdev? I don't think so. ;) To quote the German comedian Loriot (in a slightly modified way):
Loriot wrote:A life without osdev is possible, but pointless.

There is also a notice dated 14-8-2012 on PDCLib saying hes passed it over to Owen Shepherd and will no longer be involved.

Out of curiosity i looked him up and found rootdirectory.de - His OS project was called "Pro-pos" (2001-2004). Cant find any information on it.
