It seems Solar was serious about this because he hasn't posted anything since then. If that's actually true, it would be a big loss for the osdev community... I hope he'll think about it and come back.

There is also a notice dated 14-8-2012 on PDCLib saying hes passed it over to Owen Shepherd and will no longer be involved.
Out of curiosity i looked him up and found rootdirectory.de - His OS project was called "Pro-pos" (2001-2004). Cant find any information on it.
