Photos of you guys

All off topic discussions go here. Everything from the funny thing your cat did to your favorite tv shows. Non-programming computer questions are ok too.

yeah, but did you write it when you were 12? sure it's not hard to do for people that have been doing low-level programming for years. give him a break, that's impressive for somebody as young as he is. even a "hello world" in assembly is impressive at that age.

It had memory management (blockalloc, blockfree), FAT12 driver and could run 32 processes simultaneusly. Also it had simple device driver API on last version and it could load binaries from floppy disk. I know it is pretty basic but it was my first OS project.

@miker00lz Well I have programmed in asm since I was 11 (I am currently 14) so "Hello, world!" in asm isn't really impressive for me.
Using 700MHz Pentium III machine with 64MB of RAM because I feel like it.
ed implementation in C: main(a){for(;;;){read(0,&a,1);if(a=='\n')write(1,"?\n",2);}}

I didn't have any to start with, just a sentient AI crawling the webs here and there.
Ghost in the Shell much?

17:56 < sortie> Paging is called paging because you need to draw it on pages in your notebook to succeed at it.
