@Jezze: (re VolTeK) that's certainly one possibility
Re: Photos of you guys
@berkus: I lolled. I still firmly believe that should have been archived to go down in osdev history.

yeah, but did you write it when you were 12? sure it's not hard to do for people that have been doing low-level programming for years. give him a break, that's impressive for somebody as young as he is. even a "hello world" in assembly is impressive at that age.VolTeK wrote:Was it just an OS that had two functions running simultaneously. Speak to either of us when you have driver support of your own, Full FAT12/16 support, Memory management, and soon a 386 extender. The task swapper and its process handling functions i wrote in 3 hours..

I say "respect no matter age", not "disrespect no matter age".VolTeK wrote:Age does not matter, remember?Jezze wrote:Why are you bashing at someone so young? Do you steal candy from little kids too?

It had memory management (blockalloc, blockfree), FAT12 driver and could run 32 processes simultaneusly. Also it had simple device driver API on last version and it could load binaries from floppy disk. I know it is pretty basic but it was my first OS project.VolTeK wrote: Was it just an OS that had two functions running simultaneously.
@miker00lz Well I have programmed in asm since I was 11 (I am currently 14) so "Hello, world!" in asm isn't really impressive for me.
Using 700MHz Pentium III machine with 64MB of RAM because I feel like it.
ed implementation in C: main(a){for(;;;){read(0,&a,1);if(a=='\n')write(1,"?\n",2);}}
