Linux OS?
Re: Linux OS?
Hi,
Most people here want to write their own kernel (for their own OS), so most of the information on the wiki and forums is intended for that.
Cheers,
Brendan
There is (almost?) no information here for using Linux as the basis of a new OS - it'd be a massive amount of work for volunteers to act as the "documentation team" for everyone's kernels (Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, Hiaku's kernel, etc). If you want to use an existing project's kernel, then you'd need to get information from that project's developers.arming wrote:In this site, are they information about how to create an operative system Linux based? Because I've searched but I haven't found it (I'm very bad at searching...).

For all things; perfection is, and will always remain, impossible to achieve in practice. However; by striving for perfection we create things that are as perfect as practically possible. Let the pursuit of perfection be our guide.

OK, another question:
Why aren't there information about ARM architecure? All the web is x86 oriented?

Re: Linux OS?
What kind of information are you looking for? Desktops are almost exclusively x86, so this site's wiki has a lot of information on x86, but there's plenty of tools and documentation for ARM as well.

What Linux OS?
There is No Linux OS.
There is but just the Linux kernel!
And it's a matter of taste how you name it afterwards OS specific i would call it GNU/Linux or Linux/GNU.
And just be be clear this is my last reply to this thread.

Just to be clear. I made some coffee and smashed a floppy drive with a ball bearing a couple minutes ago.
Just to be clear. I have a million of those things
