Ran a half-marathon yesterday

Post by chase »

13.1 Miles (about 21k), 2:18:15. Not fast at all but it's the first time I've ever run more than 7 miles. Everything hurts today but it was fun.

I used to run 10 km every day but 21 is a huge figure for me.Very well done.

And how are you doing right now?
Programming is not about using a language to solve a problem, it's about using logic to find a solution !

I only run when being chased by bears, not many bears around, so I don't run.

I only run to catch the bus...I've been driving my own car for 5 years now, so I don't run anymore. :D
...but I do play football("soccer") every Friday and I'm pretty good at it.

I like to walk.
It's interesting to walk from one side of the city to another.
In the morning everyone is running past you, going to work to the center, cars are standing in jams for the same purpose, everyone look late.
In the afternoon in the center people are running around busy, trying to catch up with apparent lack of time, cars are stuck in traffic jams going from one place to another for some reasons.
In the evening everyone is running past you trying to get home soon, cars are standing in jams, tired drivers hurry to get home with any time to spare.

It's kind of meditative to walk 40 km across a city.

I'm still in the "what was I thinking?" stage. I doubt I'll be able to walk normally until the end of the week.

Doesn't sound like "enjoy". Yet. ;-)
Every good solution is obvious once you've found it.

I prefer the motorcycle, requires a bit more physical effort.

It doesn't quite make it against 8-12 hours of sports a week though.
