Personal motivation problem
Re: Personal motivation problem
It's peculiar that you pick this time to talk about having a lack of motivation to program. I am leaning on the finish line fast asleep. I really need to get motivated to finish my driver. I've tried it all. Whenever I begin to code, I type a few things, compile and then I find myself either back here dicking around, or online somewhere else reading about some random BS. Today I even looked up, Where did white people come from? lol, that's just the most random thought ever. wtf?
Yes, I see that you have proven it, but my question was, 'How did you know that would work?'.
Re: Personal motivation problem
lol. lets not let this go anywhere we dont want it to, and we all know where that could be, if not im not saying
Re: Personal motivation problem
lol, oh, it's cool, I already got my answer. White people are aliens. (humor)
All right, I got do some work GD it.

Re: Personal motivation problem
When I first started my project, it took three months till I saw my first keystroke printed to screen. The moral of my story is, don't give up.

Re: Personal motivation problem
I hate to work on code that is failing for no apparent reason. It is frustrating to work when I am unsure of the result. I would be fine to work diligently if I was sure that I was working toward an end, but I am afraid that I am only creating a new way to do it wrong once again. This is when I struggle with motivation, after failing too many times in a row. And, for that, there is no cure that I am aware of, because success is only an alternative to failure and it does not offer itself willingly.

Re: Personal motivation problem
Having said that, it appears that I am on the trail to finally getting this driver complete! I haven't had success on RH but using vmware, I am able to return the GET_DESCRIPTOR struct finally! That one took a month and half to do and it still isn't perfect. At least I have narrowed it down to one specific issue (in regards to RH). I know what needs to be done and that's a light in the dark. Really thankful to have finally seen an inkling of success. Now I just need to fix this last issue, then I can move to finish this sucker. Can't wait to be done with this project. After which, I will be taking at least a 6 month break from coding, computers, technology, etc. With Summer just around the corner, it'll be a great time to take a break and get outside. I miss the Sun.
