Favorite Linux

All off topic discussions go here. Everything from the funny thing your cat did to your favorite tv shows. Non-programming computer questions are ok too.

Hi all!
I'm admin of StopLinux.org.ru and I hate Linux. But I'm normal man, and I will support all non unix system. In next monthes I will write articles (good articles!) about all interesting OSDev projects.
Now I'm working on several anti-linux Articles, and hope to end, at last few of them.

I dislike Linux too (their ideology doesn't work with mine) but I won't deny myself a useful tool simply because I don't like it. Your post is very inflammatory and will probably get you yelled at.

Luca: Don't pour gasoline on yourself and pass out matches. Bad Idea (tm)

I like Linux, I just wish it were more... compatible with other OSes' toolchains. As in toolchains should be standard.

Well, I hate Linux/Unix, too. The problem is that the only viable option out there, if you want to get things done today, is Windows (which is even worse, just different). MacOS doesn't count really, because it's effectively a platform to run bad Windows software, bad Unix software, or overpriced Mac software. 8)

So, I'd go along with Luca as far as "Linux sucks" is concerned. The problem is, the options are worse. 8)
Every good solution is obvious once you've found it.

This thread is going down the tubes. It's starting to turn into a flame-fest (not that it wasn't to be expected due to the nature of the thread).
