Hey!
i'm about to install mandriva 2008 on my box..and i want to install mono.
can mono RPMs, meant for red hat, also work on mandriva??

try rpm -i <package name> to install it 
.If it installs fine , then it should be fine .
Generally its best to download the rpms from the specific distro site .
