Yeah, I just looked up the 3 and 7 numbers. They're from the 8088.

doh... I never actually looked at clock cycle amounts.. just assumed...

When I do, I tend to u-v-optimise first, and when there's little improvement there I go maxing out dependency distances (which can't do bad on any CPU after that).
