Quite a bit of a bump Bubach, but hey, it is nice to see that you still sneak around here on the forum. At least I now have a chance to say thanks for all those documents you have collected at your document archive
Oh and hi to Laksen, it is nice to see that there is another dane here on the board
But to stay on topic, I can understand written swedish, but I find it difficult to understand spoken swedish But that still does not keep me from listening to some swedish music

I'll second that - BOS is what got me started with how to write a boot loader when I started OS Dev a few years back.Blue wrote:At least I now have a chance to say thanks for all those documents you have collected at your document archive

I'm Danish and the numeric system is very easytalin wrote:Danish is almost the same as Norwegian (in fact, Norwegians spoke Danish at
one point, after being in union with Denmark). We understand most of Danish,
but not their very awkward numeric system...
Well... I stay in Trondheim in Norway at the moment. Norwegean is very easy for me to read, but not (yet) to pronounce. I'm working on it!
Re: Anyone here speak Linus Torvalds's first language?
I'm slowly learning Swedish, but I can't really have more than a basic conversation and I'd probably have trouble understanding everything.
Re: Anyone here speak Linus Torvalds's first language?

Interestingly, from my understanding (I have a Swedish friend [that lives in Sweden] that I talk to a lot), svFI is very different from svSE. Put simply, svFI is like 16/1700s Swedish.
