username too short?

The system told me my password could not be converted, so I had it send me a new one, when I logged in to update it, it told me my username was too short so couldn't change my password...

The min username length after the recent forum upgrade was 3. I adjusted it so the current settings are now:
Username 2-20 alphanumeric characters only.
Password 6-30 characters with no complexity requirements.
