I think jerryleecooper must be practicing to be a CEO or a politician. Sticking to a bald-faced lie in the face of overwhelming evidence is a necessity for these jobs. A general detachment from reality helps too.
Top three reasons why my OS project died:
- Too much overtime at work
- Got married
- My brain got stuck in an infinite loop while trying to design the memory manager

I think it's pathetic for him to assume that since Vista cost billions to develop and a majority of the population has Windows means that free systems aren't actually free.
Obviously these people assume that Windows is just the GUI - they don't realize exactly when the OS takes over from the BIOS.
And I think it's time the open source operating system community got a bit of publicity - so that people realize it is actually possible to make your own OS.
My 2 cents.

Ahem. This is Shelly. Alboin has lost control of himself, so I will end this post.
Goodbye.

I don't have an active social life.. but I also don't give inanimate objects human names either... (Or any names for that matter, beyond their generic descriptive name.. "Computer #1, desk, chair.. etc")
Anthropomorphizing much?

I have the occasional party that I go to, spend friday nights with people and do other social things. I'm fit and thin too...Brynet-Inc wrote:I don't have an active social life.. but I also don't give inanimate objects human names either...
